CALIFORNIA: Enters her second season as a middle hitter for the Golden Bears.
As a FRESHMAN in 2006 competed in nine matches and 14 games, recording 19 kills with a .289 hitting percentage (19k, 8e, 38att)...also added nine block assists...had an impressive nine kills with no errors in 13 attempts (.692 hitting percentage) at Oregon State Nov. 16...missed the first 19 matches of the season with a broken right thumb.
HIGH SCHOOL: At Sonoma Valley High School was a four-time Sonoma County All-League selection in volleyball...was named 2004 Redwood Empire Athlete of the Year, and Cal-Hi Junior Athlete of the Year, excelling as both a volleyball player and a high jumper...was a two-year member of the USA Volleyball's National Youth Team, and a 2004 AAU Junior National Volleyball All-American...was featured on the cover of the November 2005 issue of School Sports magazine, and was selected as the nation's No. 18 top high school recruit by PrepVolleyball.com.
PERSONAL: Mindi Linn Wiley was born September 24, 1988 in Santa Rosa, Calif....parents are Keith and Nancy Wiley...father, Keith, played football at Stephen F. Austin, and mother, Nancy, played basketball at Northeastern...has a sister Brooke, 21...has not declared a major.
