Weiner hopes Del Castillo will work the all-round...Junior National Champion in 2006...one of head coach Barry Weiner's "pocket aces."
2007: Had a great freshman campaign and set high career marks on floor (9.500), vault (9.000) and high bar (9.250)...his 9.500 on floor exercises at Peter Vidmar Invitational (March 1) was a team season high...second on the team last season when he notched a 8.750 on vault at the Stanford Open (Jan. 27), he also took second at that meet with a 9.400 on vault.
Personal: Competed in international competitions in El Salvador, Canada, Hawaii and Ukraine...a member of the U.S. national team from 2001-06...competed for the New Hope club team...related to professional golfer Tracy Nakazaki...parents are Ernie Del Castillo and Lisa Nakazaki...born on November 19, 1987 in Los Angeles, Calif.
