HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At Campolindo High School batted .333 with three doubles, a triple, seven home runs and 19 RBI as a senior, earning first-team all-league and third-team All-West County...in the summer of 2007 batted .473 with seven home runs for the San Jose Pal Blaze...batted .485 with three doubles, two triples and 20 stolen bases as a junior at De Anza High School, earning honorable mention all-league honors...played for the Nor Cal squad the summer of 2006, batting .427 with 11 doubles, eight triples, four home runs, and had a .519 on-base percentage...as a sophomore in 2005, hit .418 with four doubles, two triples, two home runs and 14 stolen bases, earning second-team all-league; and hit .391 with 11 doubles, four triples and 16 stolen bases as a freshman in 2004...undeclared major...brother, Clint, and both parents attended Cal...parents are Stephen and Dorine Tanaka... born November 15, 1988 in Berkeley, Calif.
