5/13/2008 - Outdoor Track
The California track and field team competes in the Pac-10 Outdoor Championships from Friday, May 16, to Saturday, May 17, in Tempe, Ariz. The conference championships kick off both days at 10:30 a.m. with the women's hammer on Friday and men's hammer on Saturday. First-day action concludes with the men's 10,000 meters scheduled for a 10:10 p.m. start. The final event of the conference meet is the men's 4x400-meter relay at 9:35 p.m. on Saturday. FULL STORY
5/12/2008 - M. Golf
The California men's golf team is back in action this week at the NCAA West Regionals at Gold Mountain Golf Course in Bremerton, Wash. It will be Cal's 10th NCAA appearance in the last 12 years as well as the 13th overall regional appearance for the Golden Bears who placed third in the Pac-10 Championships last week, their best finish since 2000. 5/13/2008 - Baseball
In a back and forth contest, the No. 13-ranked California baseball team finally yielded to host UC Davis, falling 9-5 Tuesday afternoon at Dobbins Stadium. Despite home runs from Josh Satin and Brett Jackson, the Golden Bears dropped to 32-17-2 on the year, while the Aggies improved to 31-19. The two teams split games this season, as Cal had topped UC Davis, 13-4, May 6 at Evans Diamond. FULL STORY

The California women's crew program signed three recruits to National Letters of Intent this spring, with Golden Bears head coach Dave O'Neill bringing in a daughter of a Cal alumnus (Brittany Santucci), a Norwegian international (Kristina Lofman) and a Berkeley product (Zoe Janachek). FULL STORY

The California softball team captured its 23rd straight postseason berth after the NCAA Division I Softball Committee announced the 64-team field on Sunday evening. Cal will begin postseason play in the Fresno Regional May 16-18. The Golden Bears will square off against San Diego State, while host Fresno State will take on Sacramento State. FULL STORY

The Cal rugby team has just arrived at its hotel following its only loss of the regular season, a five-point defeat at the hands of British Columbia. The players probably hope to disappear into their rooms as quickly as their perfect record did on March 26 in Vancouver, Canada. |

From day one, Sanoe Kekahuna of the No. 23 Cal softball team has relied on her family to help point her in the right direction. Kekahuna first started playing baseball in Maui, Hawaii, when she was four years old, but when her father sat her down six years later, he told her it was time to make a change. |

5/1/08 - W Lacrosse
It was a chilly Saturday afternoon in late February. The Cal lacrosse team was playing its second home game of 2008 at a gusty Memorial Stadium. Stanford had just scored three straight times to take a two-goal lead early in the second half. |
